If you are interested in the Atheist's view of religion, mainly christianity, then check out my page! christianity is a load of shit! they have no proof of a god nor any logical reason to believe in one! christianity is just another "slave religion" like alll the others! Atheism, Agnosticism, Humanism, (secular) Satanism; have better morals, incorporate: logic, free thought, reason, science, & common sense! -christianity does not!- it is sad that anyone would blindly follow their teachings, just because they are scared of death! you can lead a happy, healthy, fullfilled life through many other non-theist religions/philosophies without all of the lies, hatred, bigotry, stupidity, ignorance, sexism, racism, etc.. that is present in the "slave religions" such as christianity! come visit my page if you wish to learn more, if you visit it willingly, do not be an ass and threaten me with eternal damnation, that only helps to prove my point! i expose many of the insanities that go along with organized religion, so that "YOU" can make up "YOUR" own mind on what "YOU" should and will believe! -thanx, SouL EateR }:-)~

Webmaster's Response:
Well, where should I start? Children, the purpose of a guestbook is to give visitors a chance to comment on the web site it serves. It shouldn't be abused for self-serving purposes; that's what one's own personal web site is for. This gratuitous anti-Christian rant offers absolutely no commentary on my web site and is nothing more than an advertisement for one atheist's site. As an atheist, I certainly have my own criticisms of Christianity specifically and theism in general, but I see no profit in the tactics of stereotypical "God-haters" and do not utilize such tactics in either my site or my personal life. One must remember that the only thing that all atheists have in common is some form of a lack of belief in gods. All else is a free-for-all! By the very nature of atheism, atheists are inherently individualistic creatures, so expecting one to be like any other is folly. That being the case and seeing some potential utility in its compare and contrast possibilities, I'll leave this drivel up for the time being.

Do you think I'm insane?: hey, did you know that Athena (or "Athene" as we were taught in English I this year) is my favorite Greek god too? Whoa...nift, huh?

Comments:
The owl rules. His page is a lot better too, since I can actually understand it now. Why I'm signing your guestbook is totally beyond me, but what could be more fun than signing a friend's guestbook, huh? You should have seen some of the ones I left in my friend Jess's book. She took her site down, so I can't direct you to it. Probably a good thing too because then you might reconsider calling me "mature." ::giggles:: Well, if I don't end this soon, I'll probably make this into an e-mail entry, and since I'm currently writing you an e-mail, I should just stick to that instead of wasting my o-so-precious time with this. Um, okay. Salut.

Matt... you crack me up. I just had to come to your site after reading all your opinions in Rightgrrl. You have fascinating insight. I wanted to tell you also that I loved the kilt. What legs! My favorite picture though, is the one of you burping Kyle. You look as though you love kids, and would be a great dad. And, the comment, "oh my lack of god..." too funny. Keep 'em coming, Matt! I like it!

you are a rare individual, this is true... and I admire that there is another out there who has used rational thought to arrive at the basic truth, and has the bravery to fly in the face of almost all of society to hold onto it. I am much like you, though I have some liberal as well as some conservative tendencies...and I am quite socialist...not much of a capitalist I'm afraid..very poor and very much a lover of freedom, equality, and helping your fellow man as I am sure you are also....just wanted to say it is refreshing to find someone else who is searching for the truth about the universe and has the guts to stick to it when he finds it. By the way, have you seen Carl Sagan's movie CONTACT? One of the best, most thought provoking movies I've ever seen.

My dearest Heretic, I was led here by a desire to explore into the fascinating gray matter that is otherwise known as your psyche. What I found is a highly intellectual, somewhat narcissistic individual with a mediocre taste in film (What, no Python?) and much better taste in music (Mac, Ludwig).
Ich liebe the kilt. Atheism, though, what a pity. We'll see what we can do about that :). Enjoy your postings on RightGrrl and hope to see more. Always enjoy an intelligent dialogue. Do you not think your Damascus road experience could be a flashback of that traumatic flash experience of your unclad toddlerhood :)? To quote that fine dramatic actor "Sir Arnold Barrymore", "I'll be back."

Webmaster's Response:
Of course, I'm "somewhat narcissistic"; why else would I have a personal web site! Oh my lack of god, I omitted Monty Python from my Gratifications! Fixed. Sorry, the atheism is a vital component of being a "Compleat Heretic." Actually, both "seeing the light" experiences were rather pleasant. I thought it was the Terminator who said, "I'll be back." ::hehe::

To borrow another signer's choice of words, I am also ecstatic to see an atheist pro-lifer. I hate how so many atheist sites treat it as if there are no good reasons for a non-theist to be pro-life. How can such atheists attack Christians for their unyielding position of, "You must believe in our God or else" when they are themselves saying, "You're atheist? Well, then you must be pro-choice or else"? Keep up the good work. Yours is just one of a few secular pro-life resources I know of. I sure wish there were more. :(

Webmaster's Response:
Well, assuming that you're a pro-life secularist, I reckon you could start one of your own. Hey, I could certainly use the help, and having a web site is all the rage anyway!

I spent some time at your site and, even though I disagree completely with your political views, I respect them just the same for you are a fellow atheist. You're quite unusual from other atheists I've come across. Usually, we all disassociate ourselves from what we call the "Religious Reich" which includes the right-wing mentality. Some atheists are Libertarian and I am a proud liberal. I'm also ecstatic to see a pro-lifer against clinic violence. The hypocrisy has to end. Anyway, your site was very informative. Keep up the great work. ~Casey

Comments:
Hello, your website is very different. I really like your comments about violence at the clinics -- it not only hurts, maims, and kills innocent people, but also makes the whole movement look terrible. I just wish the miscreants that commit these acts of violence (shootings, etc.) would heed your advice, but sadly, they won't.
I always wanted to ask some questions of atheists: 1. If you don't believe in an afterlife, where do you go when you die; 2. Do you get persecuted/harassed for your (non) beliefs; 3. why do some atheists seem so hostile toward religion? If you don't share someone's beliefs, that's fine, but why belittle people or berate their intelligence simply because they believe in God?

Webmaster's Response:
Dear guest, in response to your queries:

1) As my personal identity, self-awareness, and other mental states are the result of the physical and chemical interactions within my brain and these processes will cease upon my death, I simply will cease to exist as an individual, and the matter of which I am made will be recycled.

2) Persecution and harassment were more common during my adolescence which is understandable considering I was dealing with other teenagers. O, the withering will to conformity! During this period, adults were most often guilty of dismissiveness and disrespectfulness. (Please refer to the
Atheist portion of my Autobiography.) Though I still endure occasional slights, the fullness of time has rendered me a tall, bulky mature adult male with an intelligence and erudition that cannot be denied; I am a force to be reckoned with, so one should avoid trifling with me, and most usually do.

3) Like most atheists, I came to my atheism on my own. I had no teacher to guide me and no fellowship to support me. I was completely alone and isolated in the midst of an insensitive, intolerant psychosocial maelstrom. With disgust, I recall a multitude of Christians who belittled me simply for being an atheist. With contempt, I recall a multitude of Christians who, though they were obviously far less intelligent, berated my intelligence simply for being an atheist. How many times has my profession of atheism been met with the suggestion that I'm some sort of evil moron by the citation of Psalm 14:1 ("The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.' They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good." NIV)? (Please refer to the Atheist portion of my Autobiography.) I am all too familiar with the "hostile" atheists which concern you. Theirs is a bitter counterreaction to the hostility to which they are subjected. Though I understand the motivation of the stereotypical "God-hating" atheist and could just as easily be one of them, I know better than to follow this path myself. I will not allow my enemies to corrupt me into the instrument of my own destruction.

I for one hate any form of violence, and thus I have to agree with you 100%. What I find disturbing, is how NOW will try to sue every single pro-life organization. just read a few cases at findlaw and look up abortion and see what I mean. NOW has tried to remove the non-profit status of a christian group for exorcising their first ammendment right, and most recently a federal court said operation rescue was in violation of RICO, which was not the case in a similar case before the supreme court I believe 4 years ago. the court system, as justice white joined by reinquist stated in thornburg, make up things as they go in abortion cases. why? because abortion is not that of a constitutional framewark (webster 1989), it is ideologically driven.

I love you and I want to pray for you. I want you to be in heaven with God. You are a wonderful person, with a good mind. You were put here for a reason, by, some one or some thing.
