The Compleat Heretic's Websurfing Safari:
Rightgrrl!: Volume 3 (2000)

This page was last modified on 21 April 2012.

Though I observe far too much virtual litter while travelling along the Information Superhighway, occasionally I find something that compels me to exit for an extended stop. If I am sufficiently stimulated, for good or ill, by a site, I leave an entry in the guestbook to let everyone know that I had passed through. Even rarer is a site that I visit regularly and leave a comment frequently. Rightgrrl! is such a site. Enjoy!

Beelzebubba and Algore: the GOP's winning team!?

In what is certain to be yet another failed attempt to get Carolyn to love me again, I have made the first step towards resuming my career as a letter-to-the-editor writing crank. This past Sunday, the (Greensboro, NC) News & Record published the first letter I've written in 20 months. (Has it been that long since I wrote Get back to business; Bill Clinton must go!? Ah, the halcyon days of Impeachment and the simple joys of being "out to get the President" and "trying to overturn an election"!) My target this time was Algore, a "risky scheme" if there ever was one! You can find it at: Gore as president is a risk we cannot afford to take. And I didn't forget that wonderful sociopath to whom we conservatives owe so very much and for whom we should be so very grateful. I extensively rewrote the personal essay on the page which explains why I'm a "Clinton hater"; Bill Clinton Can Never Be Trusted also includes transcripts of Clinton's infamous 1969 "loathing the military" letter and the 1992 Memorandum for Record by Colonel Eugene J. Holmes exposing Clinton as a draft dodger. This page also includes a link to other pages on my site which make the case for Beelzebubba's going down in history "as one of our greatest presidents."

Waking up on the wrong side of the bed

I woke up with a burr in my hindquarters yesterday morning. Maybe it was disappointment with yet another overhyped Millennium catastrophe going bust when the 5-5-2000 Great Planetary Alignment Cataclysm's death and destruction was superseded by the small burn on my knuckle I got removing a pizza from my oven. Maybe it was being awakened too early by the incessant droning of my neighbor's unattended alarm clock on the other side of the wall separating our duplex apartments. Maybe it was the realization that it was the fourteenth anniversary of my arrival in Germany on my way to my first permanent party assignment in the Army and thus the beginning of a two-year psychosocial horror show. Whatever the cause, I was compelled to post additional commentary into 3 of 8 entries on my Irritations page, "a list of things that nearly send me into a homicidal rage" which is neccesarily short as "I prefer to spend my energies on productive pursuits." As I haven't contributed to this, uh, hmm, well whatever-it-is in over three months and my comments are of topical interest to most of the participants on this whatever-it-is, I thought it appropriate to share them with you. Anyway, it just might get Carolyn to answer my e-mail. Hey, she didn't even answer my offer to send her some of my much celebrated, and rightly so, "Matt Wallace's Kick-ass Oatmeal Cookies" after she requested people send her cookies because she was so busy at work! Oh well, enjoy!

Billary (Bill and Hillary) Clinton   Evil incarnate; prime examples of the Baby Boom generation's worst which I characterize as "self-indulgent, sanctimonious, ungrateful children" as they failed, and in too many cases continue to fail, to realize that generations-old rules apply to them and exist for their benefit, that they aren't "better" than those who bore and raised them, and that everything they are and have is the product of the sacrifices of those who came before them; an object lesson in the very real danger posed by giving power to unrepentant, unreconstructed 'Sixties counterculturalists who never shed their perverse hatred for America and American values; the matter of which they are made can't be recycled soon enough -- personally, I'm rooting for Hillary to commit murder-suicide.

"Gun control" advocates   Poor, dim-witted, misguided fools who are so abjectly terrified of an inanimate object that they completely fail to comprehend the obvious: "It's the criminals, stupid!"

The 'Seventies   The wonderful and wondrous decade of exhaustion and malaise that gave us polyester leisure suits, mood rings, pet rocks, disco anything and everything, "Smiley Face," Nixon, Ford, Carter, oil embargoes, inflation, recession, stagflation, etc., and most especially Roe v. Wade which made genocide against an entire class of Americans a "Constitutional right"; decidedly a great time to be a teenager; that it produced some damn good, mighty fine rock music is perhaps its lone saving grace.

Happy Y2K y'all!

Happy Y2K y'all! I'm still a wee bit freaked about having to use three zeroes in the year, but I reckon I'll get over it soon enough. I would wish y'all "Happy Millennium" as well, but technically that won't be for another year. Apparently all of my systems have survived the "Millennium Bug" and are functioning properly. Even my 21-year-old TV is running fine, which is allowing me to OD on FX Network's Millennium Meltdown; mmm, two straight fourteen-episode days of Millennium! The great writer Jose Chung (From Outer Space, Doomsday Defense) predicted the millennium would bring forth "one thousand years of the same old crap." Given the excessive and misplaced hype surrounding the "dawn of the new millennium," I fear he was most prescient.
