I designed this graphical version of the Site Map to resemble an actual map which I intended for my visitors to pull out to find their way around the site. This design also incorporated the navigation buttons I had created for my upper level pages; this first site map preserves this feature of the site's earliest years. Though a rather cutesy idea, its very nature made it difficult, if not impossible, to update, thus rendering it impractical from the beginning. It served its purpose from 5 January 1998 to 20 December 2004; I replaced it all-too-belatedly with a text outline version of the Site Map on 21 December 2004. It remains on the site for archival purposes. And as a bonus, it's still functional in its limited way! Why waste good work!
